The Unusual Couple

$16.00

Spicy red velvet ice cream with pineapple cream cheese and strawberry swirl.

16OZ/Pint size.

THE UNUSUAL COUPLE 👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼 is inspired by the Marvel characters Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlett Witch and Vision! The name comes from the first episode of the Disney+ show “WandaVision” where Wanda refers to her and Vision as “an unusual couple.”

Red Velvet represents the colour red which Wanda and Vision both wear. The inspiration for paprika comes from the third instalment of the Captain America film trilogy Civil War. There‘s a scene where Vision tries to make a dish called “Paprikash” for Wanda. She tastes it and expresses her dissatisfaction for the dish and says she doesn’t taste the paprika.

Inspiration for the pineapple flavoured cream cheese comes in the first episode of WandaVision. Wanda mistakes their “special day” marked on their calendar with a ❤️ as their anniversary, but it’s really the day where Vision’s boss and his wife Mr. and Mrs. Heart are coming over for dinner. Since she had no food to prepare, she called her neighbour Agnes over to bring food she could cook. Later on, Agnes returns with a pineapple for Wanda to make a Pineapple Upside Down cake.

The strawberry comes from a scene where Wanda and Vision were in the kitchen discussing what to feed Mr. and Mrs. Heart for dinner. She suggests that they eat the single strawberry she had platted on the table that was split three ways, which she originally intended to eat with Vision for their anniversary.

INGREDIENTS: Half and half, whipping cream, buttermilk, skim milk powder, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, paprika, pure vanilla extract.

CREAM CHEESE: Pineapple, cream cheese, powdered sugar, light corn syrup, yellow food colouring.
